HomeMy WebLinkAbout11416 ORD - 04/04/19730 JRR:vp :4/2/73:1st AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $1,500 TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRI- ATED By ORDINANCE N0. 10937 FOR THE CONTRACT WITH ASPHALT MAINTENANCE COMPANY, INC., FOR THE CON- STRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR AIRPORT PARK & MORAVIAN DRIVE, PROJECT NO. 220 -67 -92.5; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: • SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund $1,500 to supplement funds previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 10937 for the contract with Asphalt Maintenance Company, Inc., for the construction of street improvements for Airport Park & Moravian Drive, Project No. 220 -67 -92,5, SECTION 2. The necessity to supplement funds previously appro- priated so that construction may proceed without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the =� day of April, 1973.
