HomeMy WebLinkAbout11490 ORD - 05/30/1973JRR:jkh:'5- 29 -73; 1st R, AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND THE SUM OF $5,335 FOR SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS' AWARD OF $5100, FOR COMMISSIONERS' FEES AND COURT COSTS IN ACQUIRING PARCEL 31, BAYFRONT PARK SITE #4, IN CONDEMNATION CAUSE NO. 662, STYLED CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI VS. MAY DOUGHERTY CARR KING, ET AL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 291 Park Bond Fund the sum of $5,335 for Special Commissioners' Award of $5100, for Commissioners' fees and court costs in acquiring Parcel 31, Bayfront Park Site #4, in condemnation proceedings, Cause No. 662, styled City of Corpus Christi v. May Dougherty Carr King, at al: SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate the sums hereinabove set forth in order that the City may take possession of the parcel and continue its development of the Bayfront Park Site #4 creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the -qU-tf- day of , 1973.
