HomeMy WebLinkAbout11536 ORD - 06/20/1973JRR /Mc 6/20/73 1sT AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF $65,159 MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT AND THE GOVERNOR'S COMMITTEE ON AGING FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, AND TO EXECUTE ANY NECESSARY RELATED DOCUMENTS; AND DECLARING AN r EMERGENCY. TEXAS: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF $65,189 MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT AND THE GOVERNOR'S COMMITTEE ON AGING FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, AND TO EXECUTE ANY RELATED CONTRACTS, APPLICATIONS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO THE RECEIPT OF SAID GRANT BY THE CITY. SECTION 2. It is understood that accountability for all equipment, furniture and fixtures purchased with Title III funds is the responsibility of the State Agency and at the termination of any Title III project the State Agency, at its option, shall exercise its accountability responsibility and proceed to reclaim the equipment or its fair share of value in accordance with State Agency policy. We further agree to be responsible for records pertaining to this project for a period of three years after the end of the fiscal year if an audit by or on behalf of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare has occurred by that time.
