AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 18A OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE,
AS AMENDED, AND PARTICULARLY AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 10378, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON
JULY 28, 1971, BY AMENDING SECTION 18A -1, SCHEDULE,
SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR - REDUCED GREEN FEES FOR USE OF THE
OSO MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE BY THOSE OVER 65 YEARS OF
AGE AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That Chapter 18A, GOLF COURSE SCHEDULE OF GREEN FEES
AND REGULATION, Corpus Christi City Code, as amended, and particularly as
amended by Ordinance No. 10378, passed and approved by the City Council on
July 28, 1971, be and the same hereby is amended by amending Section 18A -1,
Schedule, so as to add the following provision to the Schedule of Rates of
Green Fees for Use of Oso Municipal Golf Course:
"Monthly Rate (over 65 years of age,
week days only) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $6.00.
Daily Rate (over 65 years of age, week
days ,only) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1.00."
Except as herein and hereby amended, the provisions of Chapter 18A,
as amended, and particularly as amended by Ordinance No. 10378 shall be and
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after August
1, 1973.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official publication
of the City of Corpus Christi, one time, which publication shall contain the
caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
SECTION 4. The necessity for adopting the provisions hereinabove
set forth pertaining to green fees at the Oso Municipal Golf Course in order
to provide for reduced rates for those over 65 years of age creates a public
emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the
Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the
date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter

rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of
its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after August 1, 1973, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the �� day

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
