AN ORDINANCE �•
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY THE CITY'S
y INTEREST IN THE FOLLOWING LOTS:
1. Lot 2, Block 10, Hopper Addition No. 2;
2. Lot 1, Block 6, less N. 10' to Right of
Way; and
3. East 50' of Lot 1, Block 2, Beach Portion,
UPON THE PAYMENT OF CASH CONSIDERATION AS HEREINAFTER
SET FORTH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
tff SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to convey the
following described parcels or tracts of land, situated in Corpus Christi,'
Nueces County, Texas, upon the payment of the cash consideration for the
respective parcels or tracts as hereinafter set forth:
Lot 2, Block 10, Hopper Addition No. 2, to C. B. Woodson,
for cash consideration of $6,703;
Lot 1, Block 6, less N. 10' to Right of Way, Home Place
Addition, to Felix Martinez, for cash consideration of
$450, subject to the two -year redemption period;
East 50' of Lot 1, Block 2, Beach Portion, to Mrs. Mary
_ Louise McMurry, for cash consideration of $10,000.
SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately authorize the execution
of deeds 'in order to facilitate the sale of the above described parcel of
land creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring
the suspension of the Charter rule that.no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance
4 or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council
and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist,
and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this

ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect
and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY
SO ORDAINED, this the day of July, 1973.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
