WHEREAS, PUBLIC HEAR IIJG WAS HELD AT - WHICH HEARING ALL PERSONS
WISHING TO APPEAR AND BE HEARD WERE HEARD, TO CONSIDER THE SAME BEFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROPER

WHEREAS, BY NOTION DULY MADE, SECONDED AND CARRIED, IT WAS
DECIDED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THAT TO APPROVE THE HFRE114AFTER SET FORTH
AMENDMENT WOULD BEST SERVE PUBLIC HEALTH, NECESSITY AND CONVENIENCE A14D

THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND ITS'CITIZENS:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
I< CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORPUS

SCCTION 2. THAT TH[. zoulnc or portions of Lot 8, Section 7,
Bohemian Colony Lands be and the same is hereby changed from "F -R" Farm
Rural District to "I -2" Light Industrial District as to Tract "A ", and
from "F -R" Farm Rural District to "A -1" Apartment House District•on Tract
"B ", each of the said tracts being more particularly described as follows:
TRACT "A"
Being a tract of land situated in Corpus Christi, Nueces County,
Texas out of Lot 8, Section 7, of the Bohemian Colony Lands, as
shown on the Plat thereof recorded in Volume "A" at Page 4.8 of
the hiap Records of Nueces County, Texas and being more particu-
larly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of
Lot 8, Section 7, said point lying on
the centerline of Greenwood Drive;
THENCE S 61° 30' 00" E along the north
line of said Lot 8, a distance of 20.0
feet to a point in the east right -of'-
way of Greenwood Drive;
THENCE S 29° 00' 00" W along the said
east right -of -way of Greenwood Drive,
a distance of 20.0 feet to a point,
the southwest corner of a railroad
easement to the United States of America
and the point of beginning of this tract;
THENCE continuing S 29° 00' 00" W along
the east right -of -way of Greenwood Drive
a distance of 920.0 feet to a point for
a corner of this tract;
THENCE S 61° 30' 00" E across Lot 8,
Sectioh 7, a distance of 2620.0 feet
to a point in the east line of Lot 8,

THENCE.N 290 00' 00" E along the said
east line of Lot 8, a distance of'.920
feet to a point, the southeast corner of
a railroad easement to the United States
of America and a corner of this tract;

of beginning, forming a tract of land
embracing 55.33 acres.

the flap Records of Nueces County, Texas and being more particu-
larly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of
Lot 8, Section 7, said point lying on
the centerline of Greenwood Drive;
THENCE S 61° 30' 00" E along the south
line of said Lot 8, a distance of 20.0
feet to a point in the east right -of-
way of Greenwood Drive for a corner
and the point of beginning of this tract;
THENCE continuing S 61° 30' 00" E along
the said south line of Lot 8, a distance
of 2620.0 feet to the southeast corner
of Lot 8 and a corner of this tract;
THENCE Id 29° 00' 00" E along the east
line of Lot 8, a distance of,380.0 feet
to a point for a corner of this tract;_
THENCE N 61° 30' 00" N across Lot 8, a
distance of 2620.0 feet to a point in
the east right -of -May of Greenwood Drive
for a corner of this tract;
TIIENCE S 29° 00' 00 W along the east
right -of -way of Greenwood Drive, a distance
of '380.0 feet to the point of beginning,
forming a tract of land embracing 22.86
acres.
SECTION 3. THAT THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS, DE, AND THE SAI4E IS IIEREBY, AMENDED AS HEREIN ORDAINED,
SECTION 1{. THAT THE ZONIIJG ORDINANCE AND MAP Or THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTIy TEY.AS, APPROVED ON THE 27TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1937, AS
AHEIIDED FROM TIME TO TIME, EXCEPT AS HEREIN CHANGED, SHALL REI4AIN IN
FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
SECTION 5. THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY REPEALED.
SECTION 6. TIIAT.TW: NECESSITY OF IMMEDIATELY MAKING AFORESAID
r,NANGE FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAINTAINING AT ALL TIMES A COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND

AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER
RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE
OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ
AT TItREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING
DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED
THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED
FINALLY 014 TIE'. DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL
FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED, THIS THE 1 DAY of July, 1973

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
