TO THE OFFICE OF' DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS FOR THE ' ELDERLY $Y THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO CITY CHARTER ARTICLE III, SECTION 3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Homer T. Martinez. Jr. , appointed to the Office of Director of Programs for the Elderly_ by the City Manager, pur- suant to City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. SECTION 2. The necessity for confirming the appointment of Homer T Martin P2, jr- as promptly as possible creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspen- sion of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introducticaand that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the Charter rule be suspended and that this resolution be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the -26 day of July, 1973.
