HomeMy WebLinkAbout11627 ORD - 08/08/1973JRR:jkh:8 -8 -73; 1st •P y AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8127, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 1, BY DELETING THE POSITION OF TRAINEE, CLASS CODE 157, AND ADDING THE TITLES OF OPERATION MAINSTREAM TRAINEE, CLASS CODE 170 AND NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH CORPS ". TRAINEE, CLASS CODEp171, AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT, ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: •S SECTION 1. That Section 1, of said Ordinance No. 8127, as amended, be, and the same is hereby, amended by deleting the following classification: CLASS CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE 157 Trainee 6 ($1.76 13ar hr.) SECTION 2. That Section l,,of said Ordinance No. 8127, as amended, be, and the same is hereby, amended by creating the following classifications: CLASS CODE , CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE 170 Operation Mainstream Trainee $1.60 per hr. 171 Neighborhood Youth Corps Trainee 1.60 per hr. SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction 4R it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent " of this City Council that every section paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its ti purpose. SECTION 4. The effective date of the above changes shall be August 6, 1979 SECTION 5. The fact that there is an immediate need to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring tle suspension of the * Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the a date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having " requested,the suspension of the said Charter rule, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be " 11627 �'in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 6 day of August, 1973.
