HomeMy WebLinkAbout11661 ORD - 08/22/1973•JRR:MLM:e:8 /22/73 • let AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE REVOCABLE EASEMENTS WITH THE PROPERTY OWNERS ABUTTING ON- DEVELOPED TWEET STREET, BETWEEN KOSTORYZ ROAD AND COSNER STREET, WHO DESIRE TO CONSTRUCT FENCES ACROSS TWEET STREET SO AS TO PRECLUDE ACCESS BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC; AND DECLARING AN ENER GEN CY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute revocable easements with the property owners abutting undeveloped Tweet Street, between Kostoryz Road and Cosner Street, who desire to construct fences across Tweet Street to preclude access to said street by the general public. SECTION 2. That the necessity to authorize the execution of the above mentioned revocable easements so as to halt undesirable traffic within the undeveloped right of way of Tweet Street creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the V--k day of August, 1973.
