AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $294
TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 11144, DATED NOVEMBER 1, 1972, APPLICABLE
TO PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -111, HORNE ROAD STREET IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT, FROM NAPLES TO COLUMBIA, OF WHICH SUPPLEMENTAL
SUM $106 IS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 11, FROM
MIGUEL Z. ARANDA, ET UX, AND $188 IS FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF PARCEL NO. 18 FROM BALDEMAR TANGUMA, ET UX; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond
Fund the sum of $294 to supplement funds previously appropriated by Ordinance
No. 11144, dated November 1, 1972, applicable to Project No. 220 -70 -111,
Horne Road Street Improvements Project, from Naples to Columbia, of which
supplemental sum $106 is for the acquisition of Parcel No. 11, from Miguel Z.
Aranda and wife, Belia Aranda, and $188 is for the acquisition of Parcel No. 18,
from Baldemar Tanguma and wife, Lois Tanguma, said Parcels being more fully
described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 11
Being the Southwest 20.0 feet of Lot 8, Block 1, Roseland
Place, as shown by map of record thereof in Volume 13,
page 54, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and containing
1,087.4 square feet of land more or less.
PARCEL NO. 18
Being the Southwest 20.0 feet of Lot 2, Block 1, Roseland
Place, as shown by map of record thereof in the Map Records
of Nueces County, Texas.
SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate the sums
hereinabove set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public
necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that
such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the
City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity
exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect

and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS
ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the c5 day of

for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the
above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi
to the credit of:

Project Name Horne Road from Navles Street to
Columbia
from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for
any other purpose.

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
