HomeMy WebLinkAbout11680 ORD - 09/05/1973JRR:vp:9 /4/73:ist AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 1146o, DATED APRIL 4, 1973, AND THE AGREEMENT AUTHORIZED THEREIN, PROVIDING FUNDS FOR REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL SERVICES BY R. V. COULTER FOR APPRAISAL OF BLOCKS 79 AND 89 OF BEACH ADDITION IN THE BAYFRONT SCIENCE PARK AREA, TO PRO- VIDE FOR A REVISION IN THE FUNDS APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 4181, CODE 301, FOR SAID SERVICES FROM $12,500 TO $11,050; AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 11460, dated April 4, 1973, providing funds for real estate appraisal services by R. V. Coulter for appraisal of Blocks 79 and 89 of Beach Addition in the Bayfront Science Park area, be and the same is hereby amended to provide for a revision in the funds appropriated out of the No. 102 General Fund, Activity 4181, Code 301, for the aforesaid services from $12,500 to $11,050, and that Paragraph C of the agreement authorized by said Ordinance No. 3.1460 be amended to reflect the revision in the funds as hereinabove set forth. SECTION 2. Except as herein and hereby amended, the terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 11460 and the agreement authorized therein shell be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The necessity to amend Ordinance No. 11460 as hereinabove set forth to reflect the actual expenditure of funds for the appraisal services described creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of September, 1973. 776',"k ,e, 4�t City Secretary MAYOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS APPROVED: DAY 0 SEPTEMBER, 1973: City Attorney X680 Corpus Christi, Texas day of 197 TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
