AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL
OF INTERNATIONAL AERIAL MAPPING COMPANY TO PROVIDE AERIAL
PHOTOGRAPHY, INCLUDING PLAN AND PROFILE SHEETS FOR
WALDRON ROAD, FROM CARIBBEAN TO PURDUE,AND FOR ROSTORYZ
ROAD, FROM PADRE ISLAND DRIVE TO HOLLY ROAD; APPROPRIATING
OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FOND $2,445, OF WHICH $1400
IS APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220 -72 -77 AND $1045 IS ✓
APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220 -72 -5; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to accept the proposal of International Aerial Mapping Company to provide
aerial photography, including plan and profile sheets for Waldron Road, from
Caribbean to Purdue, and for Rostoryz Road, from Padre Island Drive to Holly
Road, in accordance with the terms of the proposal, a copy of which is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220
Street Bond Fund $2445, of which $1400 is applicable to Project No.
220 -72 -7 and $1045 is applicable to Project No. 220 -72 -5, the aforesaid
projects.
SECTION 3. The necessity to accept the proposal in order that
the construction of the aforesaid projects may be commenced without delay
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the
suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be
passed finally on the date of its introducthu but that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and
having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance
be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in
full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED, this the /,L-Uday of September, 1973.

Gentlemen:
In response to your request in letter dated August 28, 1973,
we are pleased to submit our proposal to accomplish the following.
We will provide three window mylar sheets, 22" x 3611,
covering Waldron Road; Caribbean to Purdue and Kostoryz Road;
Padre Island Drive to Holly Road, a total distance of approximately
1. 78 miles. The scale of the sheets will be 1" =301, similar in format
to those prepared for the Staples Drive, Ocean Drive and North Alameda
Projects. As on past projects the city will paint the survey controls
to be accomplished by the city prior to our taking the photography.
Our fee for this service is $1, 400. 00 per mile of street as
measured from your surveyed stationing.
We will look forward to being of service to your city on this
project.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
