HomeMy WebLinkAbout11707 ORD - 09/19/1973JRR *cd:9- 19- 73:lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE, ACTIVITY NO. 4299, CODE 490, THE SUM OF $59,648.90 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PARLOR COACH TO BE DONATED TO THE TRANSIT FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund Reserve, Activity No. 4299, Code 490, the sum of $59,648.90 which is for the purchase of a parlor coach to be donated to the Transit Fund. r: SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate the sums here- inabove described creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 9 day of September, 1973.
