HomeMy WebLinkAbout11708 ORD - 09/19/1973JRR:jkh cd:9- 18- 73:1st AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11682, PASSED AND APPROVED ON SEPTEMBER 5, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 2 THERE- OF TO PROVIDE THAT THE APPROPRIATION OF $243,465.65 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 49, OSO SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT EXPANSION PROJECT, BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE 121 GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND, ACTIVITY NO. 5621, CODE 501, TO THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND, FOR PROJECT NO. 250 -61 -25.5; RETAINING OTHER PROVISIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 11682; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 11682, passed and approved by the City Council on September 5, 1973, be amended by amending Section 2 thereof to hereafter read as follows: "SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund the sum of $243,456.65, said sum to be transferred from the No. 121 General Revenue Sharing Fund, Activity No. 5621, Code 501, of said appropriation $242,375 is for purchase at the approved value and $1,081.65 is for incidental costs related to the closing of the purchase of the aforementioned parcel." SECTION 2. Except as hereby and herein amended, the terms and conditions of the aforesaid Ordinance No. 11682 shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The necessity to amend Ordinance No. 11682 as herein- above set forth at the earliest practicable date in order that the parcel involved may be purchased and the project proceed without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage. IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of September, 1973.
