FOR CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SEALING OF COMMERCIAL RAMP AREAS; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPRO- PRIATING $5,970 OUT OF NO. 117, AIRPORT FUND, AIRFIELD ACTIVITY 5411, CODE 345, OF WHICH $5,864.48 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND $105.52 1S FOR CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Alamo Asphalt Construction & Sealing Company for Corpus Christi International Airport Sealing of Commercial Ramp Areas, all as is more fully described in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of Alamo Asphalt Construction & Sealing Company, opened on the 19th day of September, 1973, the said bid of Alamo Asphalt Construction & Sealing Company being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. There is hereby hppropriated and reappropriated $5,970 out of the No. 117 Airport Fund, Airfield Activity 5411, Code 345, of which $5,684.48 is for the construction contract and $105.52 is for contingencies and incidental expenses. SECTION 3. The necessity to execute the aforesaid contract and to appropriate the sums hereinabove set.out at the earliest practicable date In order that construction may commence, creates a public and imperative emergency and necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and i 1712 I I? 1Z CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS CERTIFICATION OF FUNDS s (City Charter Article IV Section 21) September 20, 1973 I certify to the City Council that $ 5,970.00 , the amount required for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of: Fund No. and Name 117 Airport Project No. Activity 5411 Code 345 Project Name Corpus Christi International Airport Sealing of Commercial Ramp Areas from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose. '192-3 Director of F' ante FIN 2 -55 Revised 7/31/69 Corpus Christi, Texas 2, day of , 19 TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
