HomeMy WebLinkAbout11735 ORD - 10/10/1973JRR: kh:cd:10 -9 -73 :1st .a • TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 291 PARR BOND FUND THE SUM OF $1925 TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 11678, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON SEPTEMBER 5, 1973; AMENDING SAID ORDINANCE NO. 11678, PROVIDING FOR LABORATORY SERVICES OF TRINITY TESTING LABORATORIES, INC. ON VARIOUS PROJECTS, BY REVISING THE APPROPRIATION FROM $1045 TO $1000 FOR PRO- JECT NO. 291 -70 -9, GREENWOOD PARR, AND REVISING THE APPROPRIATION FROM $465 TO $2435 FOR PROJECT NO. 291- 72-2, SOFTBALL COMPLEX; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 291 Park Bond Fund for the purposes hereinafter described the sum of $1925 to supple- ment funds previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 11678, passed and approved by the City Council on September 5, 1973. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 11678, passed and approved by the City Council on September 5, 1973, providing for laboratory services of Trinity Testing Laboratories, Inc. on various projects, be and the same here- by is amended so as so revise the appropriation of funds for Project No. 291- 70-9, Greenwood Park, by decreasing said appropriation from $1045 to $1000; and revising the appropriation for Project No. 291 -72 -2, Softball Complex by increasing said appropriation from $465 to $2435. SECTION 3. The necessity to immediately amend Ordinance No. 11678 and to provide additional sums in order to complete the projects aforesaid at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the /d -cr day of October, 1973.
