AN ORDINANCE
I
AMENDING SECTION 21 -69 OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI
CITY CODE, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING AN ITEM
THERETO SO AS TO DECREASE THE SPEED ON ALL
OF THE PARK ROADS IN WEST GUTH PARK TO 20
MILES PER HOUR AT ALL TIMES; PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 21 -69 of the Corpus Christi
City Code, as amended, be and the same is hdreby amended by
adding the following item, decreasing the speed limits as
follows:
"NAME OF STREET SPEED LIMIT
EFFECTIVE TIMES
West Guth Park Roads, 20 miles At all times"
all of the park roads per hour
in West Guth Park
Said limits to apply to the roads and markers as
shown on the attached Exhibit "A" which is made a
part hereof the same as if written herein.
SECTION 2. The changes as hereinabove set forth are
to become effective when the streets described are so signed.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi one time which pub-
lication shall contain the caption stating in substance the pur-
pose of the ordinance.
SECTION 4. If for any reason any section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this or-
dinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final
judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not
affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the
definite intent of this City Council that every section, para-
graph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof
be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith shall be and are hereby repealed to the
extent of conflict herewith.
