HomeMy WebLinkAbout11771 ORD - 11/07/1973JF3, jcii:il—n -7s; lEt ti • AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE DESIGNATION OF THAT PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD EXTENDING NORTH FROMur624 ALONG CALALLEN HIGH SCHOOL FROM COUNTY ROAD 67A TO WILDCAT DRIVE, AND CHANGING THE DESIGNATION OF THAT PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD EXTENDING WEST FROM CALALI N DRIVE ALONG CALALLEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FROM COUNTY ROAD 54A TO TEAGUE LANE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the designation of that portion of County Road extending north from #624 along Calallen High School be, and the same is hereby, changed from COUNTY ROAD 67A to WILDCAT DRIVE; and that the designa- tion of that portion of County Road extending west from Calallen Drive along Calallen Elementary School be, and the same is hereby, changed from COUNTY ROAD 54A to TEAGUE LANE. SECTION 2. That the Director of Traffic Engineering be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause to be removed any street signs or markers which are erroneous after the passage of this ordinance and to erect new street signs or markers at appropriate places designating the correct name of the portion of the streets as above set forth. SECTION 3. The necessity to immediately change the designation of the portions of County Roads as hereinabove set forth and to cause to be erected new and appropriate street'signs or markers to reflect the changes herein provided creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution - shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordi- nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 7th day of November, 1973.
