HomeMy WebLinkAbout11772 ORD - 11/07/1973JRR:jkh:11-6 -73; Iat AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH MASTER PLAN TO DESIGNATE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PARK AT THE NORTH END OF THE BEACH AS THAT AREA NORTH OF GULDEN STREET FROM THE BAY TO TIMON BOULEVARD AND NORTH OF SANDBAR STREET FROM TIMON BOULEVARD TO HIGHWAY 181; AS MORE FULLY ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAT ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A '; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi Beach Master Plan be and the same is hereby amended so as to designate the boundaries of the Park at the north end of the Beach as that area north of Gulden Street from the Bay to Timon Boulevard and north of Sandbar Street from Timon Boulevard to Highway 181, as more fully illustrated on the plat attached hereto as Exhibit 'W'. SECTION 2. The necessity to amend the Corpus Christi Beach Master Plan as- •hereinabove set forth at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of November, 1973.
