HomeMy WebLinkAbout11823 ORD - 12/12/1973• JRR:vp:12 /11 /73:1st AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $9,916.49 OUT OF NO. 207 PUBLIC BUILDING BOND FUND FROM ACCRUED BEST ON THE PROCEEDS OF THE $1,500,000 UPPER LEVEL COLLEGE BOND SALE FOR PAYMENT OF FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES, $7,270, AND LEGAL SERVICES, $2,646.49, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF $1,500,000 UPPER LEVEL COLLEGE BONDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $9,916.49 out of No. 207 Public Building Bond Fund from accrued interest on the proceeds of the $1,500,000 Upper Level College Bond Sete for payment of Financial Advisory Services, $7,270, and legal services, $2,646.49, in connection with the sale of the $1,500,000 Upper Level Bonds. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate the aforesaid • some in order that payment may be made promptly for the aforesaid services creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the � �d of December, 1973.
