HomeMy WebLinkAbout11861 ORD - 01/02/1974J$R= jkh;hb:.12/28 /73:lst • AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT WITH KING RANCH, INC., FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 303, CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH PARK SITES, PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -12; APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND $39,296.50, OF WHICH AMOUNT $39,000 IS FOR PURCHASE AT THE APPROVED VALUE AND $296.50 IS FOR INCIDENTAL COSTS RELATED TO THE CLOSING OF THE PURCHASE OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a real estate sales contract with King Ranch, Inc. for the acquisition of Parcel No. 303, Corpus Christi Beach Park Sites, Project No. 291- 72 -12, said parcel being hereinafter more fully described as follows: Lots Two (2), Four (4), Six (6), Eight (8), Ten (10), and Twelve (12), Block Three - Hundred Eighty -Five (385), Brooklyn Addition, an Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof, Recorded in Volume "A ", Page 32, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 291 Park Bond Fund the sum of $39,296.50, of which amount $39,000 is for purchase at the approved value and $296.50 is for incidental costs related to the closing of the purchase of the aforesaid parcel. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize the afore- said contract and appropriation of the necessary sums in order that the project may be commenced without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three R 11 U d_ several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of January, 1974.
