HomeMy WebLinkAbout11913 ORD - 02/13/1974• JRR:vp:2 /12/74:lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $62,000 OUT OF NO. 122 GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND FOR THE CITY'S ESTIMATED SHARE OF COST TO PLACE A SKID- RESISTANT ASPHALTIC OVERLAY ON OCEAN DRIVE AND SHORELINE BOULEVARD FROM I. H. 37 TO THE NORTH GATE OF THE NAVAL AIR STATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, • SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $62,000 out of the No. 122 General Revenue Sharing Fund for the City's estimated share of cost to place a skid - resistant asphaltic overlay on Ocean Drive and Shoreline Boulevard from I. H. 37 to the North Gate of the Naval Air Station. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately provide the sums herein- above appropriated and described in order that the project may commence with- out delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the L-3 �ay of -� 1974. These funds will be used for the City's share of cost to place a skid resistant asphaltic overlay on Ocean Drive and Shoreline Blvd. from I.H. 37 to North Gate of N.A.S.
