HomeMy WebLinkAbout11939 ORD - 03/06/1974.TRR:vp:3 /6/74:1st • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973 -74 BY MODIFYING GENERAL FUND ESTIMATED REVENUES AS HEREINAFTER PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Budget for Fiscal Year 1973 -74 be and tjie same is hereby amended by modifying the General Fund Estimated Revenues as follows: Increase: General Property Taxes (including delinquent collections) $324,702 Sales Tax 120,298 Moving Vehicle Fines 50,000 Sanitation Services - ICL Residential 15,000 Coliseum Rentals 15 000 Total Increase $525.0 00 Decrease: In Water Fund Payment - in lieu of Property Taxes -$175,000 Net Increase 350,000 and by cancelling appropriations in the Water Fund as follows: Payment in Lieu of Property Taxes $175,000 Transfer to Debt Service 175 000 Total Reduction 350,000 SECTION 2. The necessity for immediate amendment of the Budget as hereinabove provided creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of , 1974.
