AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND
$10,808.95 TO SUPPLEMENT PREVIOUS APPROPRIATION OF
$27,347.42 MADE BY ORDINANCE NO. 11407, DATED MARCH 28,
1973, TO REIMBURSE THE TEXAS EASTERN TRANSMISSION
COMPANY FOR COST INCURRED TO ADJUST A 30 -INCH
TRANSMISSION LINE WHICH CROSSES THE CLAREWOOD DITCH,
APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 295 -67 -46.1; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 295 Storm

Sewer Bond Fund the sum of $10,808.95 to supplement previous appropriation
of $27,347.42 authorized by Ordinance No. 11407, passed and approved by the
City Council on March 28, 1973, to reimburse the Texas Eastern Transmission
Company for cost incurred to adjust a 30 -inch transmission line which crosses
the Clarkwook Ditch, applicable to Project No. 295 -67 -46.1.
SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the necessary sums in
order that adjustment of a transmission line may be made to facilitate
the planned improvements to the Clarkwood Ditch project creates a public
emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the
Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the
date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension
of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of
its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this theL �day of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
