HomeMy WebLinkAbout12033 ORD - 05/01/1974• JRR:e:hb:4 /29/74:lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCU- MENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 293 AND 328 FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH PARK SITES PROJECT; APPROPRIATING OUT OF 124 GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND $81,073, OF WHICH AMOUNT $80,500 IS FOR LAND PURCHASES AT THE APPROVED VALUE AND $573 IS FOR INCIDENTAL COSTS RELATED TO CLOSING COSTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: is SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized. for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, to execute the documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcels 293 and 328 for the Corpus Christi Beach Park Sites Project. SECTION 2. That there is appropriated $81,0739 out of 124 General Revenue Sharing Fund, of which amount $80,500 is for land purchases at the approved value and $573 is for incidental costs relating to closing. SECTION 3. That the necessity to authorize the execution of the necessary documents and appropriate the necessary funds for the acquisition of the above parcels for the Corpus Christi Beach Park Sites Project at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the day of May, 1974.
