HomeMy WebLinkAbout12051 ORD - 05/15/19740 JRR:jkh:hb:5 /14/74:lst . . . • • AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TEE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE PRO- POSAL OF INTERNATIONAL AERIAL MAPPING COMPANY TO PROVIDE AERIAL FLIGHT CONTROL SHEETS NECESSARY FOR A DESIGN STUDY FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON PORT AVENUE FRCM AGNES TO THE PORT -AYERS INTER- SECTION AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE PROPOSAL, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARRED EXHIBIT "A"; APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF ` $4,200 FOR THE AFORESAID SERVICES, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220- 72 -16; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept, for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, the proposal of International Aerial Mapping Company to provide aerial flight control sheets necessary for a design study for street improvements on Port Avenue, from Agnes to the Port -Ayers Intersection, all as more fully set forth in the proposal, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A ". SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $4,200 for the services hereinabove described, applicable to Project No. 220- 72 -16. SECTION 3. The necessity to immediately authorize acceptance of the hereinabove described proposal for the purposes outlined and to appropriate the necessary sums in order that the project may be commenced without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and ef,�fee��,cct�,t from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this th.Z day of May, 1974. Chief Engineer Gentlemen: We are pleased to furnish our quotation as requested in your letter dated April 30, 1974. We will provide three window maylar sheets, 22" x 3611, covering the area on Port Avenue as outlined on the map furnished with your letter. The scale of the sheets will be 1 " =30', similar in format to those prepared for the Waldron Rd. and Kostoryz Rd. projects. The panels will be painted and control accomplished by the City prior to exposing the photography as on past projects. Our fee will be $1, 400. 00 per mile of street as measured from your surveyed stationing. We are looking forward to working with the City again on this project.
