HomeMy WebLinkAbout12074 ORD - 05/22/1974• JRR:vp:5 /22/74:1st • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND THE SUM OF $67,034.11 FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 4122 -603, FOR LABOR, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS USED FOR PARK IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD OF FEBRUARY 1, 1974, THROUGH APRIL 30, 1974, AS FOLLOWS: $19,468.04, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.1, SOUTHSIDE PARK; $22,344.41, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.2, GLEN ARBOR PARK; $14,576.95, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.3, SURREY PARK; $8,895.65, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.4, KINGSTON PARK; AND $1,749.06, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291 -70 -10.8, COUNTRY CLUB PARK; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 291 Park Bond Fund the sum of $67,034.11 for reimbursement to the No. 102 General Fund, Activity 4122 -603, for labor, equipment and materials used for park improvements for the period of February 1, 1974 through April 30, 1974, as follows: $19,468.o4, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.1, SOUTHSIDE PARK; $22,344.41, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.2, GLEN ARBOR PARK; $14,576.95, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT 170. 291- 72 -5.3, SURREY PARK; $8,895.65, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 72 -5.4, KINGSTON PARK; AND $1,749.06, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291 -70 -10.8, COUNTRY CLUB PARK; SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize the appropriation of the above described funds and the reimbursement of the General Fund at the earliest possible date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this 12074 • • CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS CERTIFICATION OF FUNDS (City Charter Article IV Section 21) May 13, 197+ I certify to the City Council that $ 19,x+68.04 , the amount required for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of: Fund No. and Name No 291 Park Bond Project No. 291- 72 -5.1 Project Name Southeide Park from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose.
