HomeMy WebLinkAbout12111 ORD - 06/05/1974JRR:jkh:hb:6 /5/74:2nd TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 208 AUDITORIUM BOND FUND $16,000 APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 208 -72 -2, MUNI- CIPAL AUDITORIUM, FOR THEATRE CONSULTANT SERVICES BY JEAN ROSENTHAL ASSOCIATES, INC., SAID SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED THROUGH THE CITY'S ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTANTS FOR THE PROJECT, CAUDILL ROWLETT SCOTT /SWANSON, HEISTER, WILSON AND CLAYCOMB, INC.; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the no. 208 Auditorium Bond Fund $16,000 applicable to Project No. 208 -72 -20 Municipal Auditorium, for theatre consultant services by Jean Rosenthal Associates, Inc., and a fee of 4.8% equipment cost on acceptance of final approved plan to be paid out of the 6% commission of Caudill Rowlett Scott /Swanson, Heister, Wilson and Claycomb, Inc., as provided by the Caudill Rowlett Scott /Swanson, Heister, Wilson and Claycomb, Inc. contract with the City, said services to be provided through the City's architectural consultants for the project, Caudill Rowlett Scott/ Swanson, Heister, Wilson and Clay - comb, Inc. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the aforesaid sums at the earliest practicable date in order that the project may continue without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested that said charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 5th day of June, 1974.
