HomeMy WebLinkAbout12144 ORD - 06/26/1974• JRR:jkh:hb:6 /25/74:lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING OUT OF THE 102 GENERAL FOND, ACTIVITY 3327, CODE 501, THE SUM OF $5667.50, FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 9, POLICE STATION EXPANSION, FROM LEWIS TILLEY, ET AL, SAID SUM TO INCLUDE AWARD OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, COMMISSIONERS' FEES, APPRAISER'S COSTS, MOVING, PUBLICATION AND COURT COSTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated and reappropriated out of the No. 102 General Fund, Activity No. 3327, Code 501, the sum of $5667.50, for acquisition of Parcel No. 9, Police Station Expansion, from Lewis Tilley, et al, said sum to include Award of Special Commissioners, Commis- sioners' fees, appraiser's costs, in addition to moving, publication and court costs. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate and re- appropriate the sums hereinabove described in order.that the City may take Possession of the property in connection with the Police Station Expansion project creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of June, 1974.
