HomeMy WebLinkAbout12152 ORD - 07/03/1974MLM:e:oc:7 /2/74 2nd • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $17,300 OUT OF NO. 122 GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND RESERVE ACCOUNT TO SUPPLEMENT PREVIOUS APPROPRIATIONS OF $62,000 TO PROVIDE FOR THE CITY'S ADDITIONAL SHARE OF COST FOR THE PLACEMENT OF A SKID RESISTANT ASPHALTIC OVERLAY ON OCEAN DRIVE AND SHORELINE BOULEVARD FROM I.H. 37 TO NORTH GATE OF THE NAVAL AIR STATION, WHICH AMOUNT WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO ACTIVITY 3815, CODE 502; SAID APPROPRIATION TO BE PLACED IN ESCROW WITH THE STATE TREASURER ACCOUNT OF TRUST FUND NO. 927; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $17,300 out of No. 122 General Revenue Sharing Fund Reserve Account to supplement previous appropriations of $62,000 to provide for the City's additional share of cost for the placement of a skid resistant asphaltic overlay on Ocean Drive and Shoreline Boulevard from I.H. 37 to North Gate of the Navel Air Station, which amount will be transferred to Activity 3815, Code 502; said appropriation is to be placed in escrow with the State Treasurer Account of Trust Fund No. 927. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the hereinabove sum to supplement funds previously appropriated at the earliest possible date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect 12152 \ 0 • and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the o7A�day of July, 1974. These funds will be transferred to Activity 3815, Code 502.
