AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE
SALES CONTRACT AND SUCH OTHER DOCUMENTS AS MAY BE NECES-
SARY TO ACQUIRE A TRACT OF LAND FROM THE P.J.C. PARTNERSHIP
NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SATELLITE CLINIC FACILITY
ON WILLIAMS DRIVE NEAR TREY WAY LANE; APPROPRIATING OUT OF
NO. 207 PUBLIC BUILDING BOND FUND $41,908.50, OF WHICH
$41,600 IS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE TRACT AFORESAID AND
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER, AND $308.50 IS
FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES RELATED TO THE CLOSING, ALL
APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 207- 72 -3.1; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute Real Estates Sales Contract and such other documents as may be
necessary to acquire a tract of land from the P.J.C. Partnership, necessary
for the construction of a Satellite Clinic Facility on Williams Drive near
Trey Way Lane, said tract or parcel of land being more particularly described
as follows:
Being a 1.469 acre tract of land out of Lot 19, Section 13, Flour Bluff and
Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts as shown by map of record in Volume "A ", Pages
41, 42, & 43, Map records, Nueces County, Texas, said 1.469 acre tract of
land being more particularly described by metes and bounds:
BEGINNING at a point in the Southeast boundary line of said Lot 19, said
point being S. 290 00, W., 60.0 feet from the most Easterly corner of said
Lot 19, and being the most southerly corner of a 1.803 acre tract of land
conveyed to the City of Corpus Christi by Arcadia Village Shopping Centel
Inc., by Warranty Deed recorded in Volume 1096, page 240, Deed Records,
Nueces County, Texas, for the most easterly and beginning corner of the
tract herein described;
THENCE S. 290 00, W., with the southeast line of said Lot 19, a distance of
160.0 feet to a point for the most southerly corner of the tract herein des-
cribed;
THENNCE N. 610 O1' W., with a line that is 220.0 feet southwest of and paral-
lel to the Northeast line of said Lot 19, a distance of 400.0 feet to a point
for the most westerly corner of the tract herein described;
THENCE N. 290 00' E., a distance of 160.0 feet to a point in the southwest
line of said 1.803 acre tract for the most northerly corner of the tract
herein described;
TEED= S. 610 O1' E., with the southwest ling of said 1.803 acre tract, a
distance of 400.0 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 1.469,acre of land more or less.

SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 207 Public
Building Bond Fund $41,908.50, of which $41,600 is for the purchase of the
parcel or tract hereinabove described and $308.50 is for incidental expenses
related to the closing, all applicable to Project No. 207-72 -3.1
SECTION 3. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove and
to authorize acquisition of the parcel described in order that adequate
health facilities may be provided in the City of Corpus Christi creates a
public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension
of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor
having declared that such public emergency and neccessity exist, and having
requested that such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be
passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in-
full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED, this the �i7 -DLday of July, 1974.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
