BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, • SECTION 1. THAT REIMBURSEMENT IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED IN THE AMOUNT OF $218,906.89 TO THE N0. 102 GENERAL FUND FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES PROVIDED DURING THE PERIOD OF FEBRUARY 11 1974 THROUGH JULY 311 1974, AND NOT PREVIOUSLY REIMBURSED. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION TO THE NECESSARY FUNDS AND THE REIMBURSEMENT OF THE GENERAL FUND AT THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE DATE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION BUT THAT SUCH 12201 ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE / ECAY of JULY, 1974.
