HomeMy WebLinkAbout12225 ORD - 08/14/1974JRR:HG:hb:8/13/74:1st • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET; APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $47,456.20 OUT OF NO. 295 - STORM SEWER BOND FUND WHICH AMOUNT IS TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM NO. 121 - GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND, ACTIVITY 5681, CODE 437, TO PROJECT NO. 295 -. 67 -46.1, FOR THE COST OF MATERIALS, LABOR AND EQUIPMENT TO ADJUST WATER LINES IN CONNECTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE CLAPM400D DRAINAGE DITCH, WHICH AMOUNT IS TO REIMBURSE THE NO. 141 - WATER FUND; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $47,456.20 out of No. 295 - Storm Sewer Bond Fund which amount is to be transferred from No. 121 - General Revenue Sharing Fund, Activity 5681, Code 437, to Project No. 295-67 -46.1, for the cost of materials, labor and equipment to adjust water lines in connection with construction of the Clark-wood Drainage Ditch, which amount is to reimburse the No. 141 - Water Fund. SECTION 2. Amendment of the City Budget to accomplish the purposes of this ordinance is necessitated for emergency expenditure in grave public necessity to meet unusual and unforseen conditions, which could not, by reasonable diligent thought and attention of the Government of the City of Corpus Christi, have been included in the current, original Budget of the City. SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, sub- division, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 4. The necessity to appropriate the funds as pro- vided herein creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity 12225 requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the tjtday of August, 1974.
