HomeMy WebLinkAbout12261 ORD - 09/11/1974JRR:4p:9 /10 /74:ist • AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 21 OF THE POLICE STATION EXPANSION PROJECT FROM THE OWNER, JULIO ALVAREZ; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING $6,800 OUT OF THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 3327, CODE 501, FOR ACQUISITION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents for the acquisition of Parcel No. 21 of the Police Station Expansion Project from the owner, Julio Alvarez, said parcel being more particularly described as follows: Lots Twenty -three (23) and Twenty -four, Block No. Two (2), Hidalgo Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 3, Page 47, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated and reappropriated the sum of $6,800 out of the No. 102 General Fund, Activity 3327, Code 501, for the acquisition of the aforesaid parcel. SECTION 3• The necessity to appropriate the hereinabove described sums and to authorize execution of the necessary documents in order to acquire the parcel for the Police Station Expansion Project creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter role that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shell be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of September, 1974. 4M City Secretary APPROVED: DAY OF ER, 1974 -A'J 7vAtt rney 12261 YO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS CERTIFICATION OF FUNDS (City Charter Article IV Section 21) September 5, 1974 I certify to the City Council that $ 6,956.50 , the amount required for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of: Fund No. and Name 102 General Fund Project No. Activity 3327, Code 501 Project Name Police Station Expansion from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose. 19� -cx /Zi: ! & Z' &&, ector of name ]i �2, poo.ao FIN 2 -55 Revised 7/31/69 • • Corpus Christi, Texas day of , 19 TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
