DATED MARCH 31, 1971, FOR THE OPERATION OF A SHOP FOR THE REPAIR OF BUSINESS MACHINES AND SMALL HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES ON LOT 51, BLOCK 4. HIGH TERRACE ADDITION IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED ON THE APPROVED SITE PLAN THAT WAS ATTACHED TO SAID ORDINANCE NO. 10210 AND MADE A PART THEREOF, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR A REVISED SITE PLAN, REDUCING THE PARKING REQUIREMENT FROM FOUR SPACES TO ONE SPACE, AND REQUIRING THAT THE REMAINING YARD AREA BE MAINTAINED IN GRASS AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED ON THE ATTACHED SITE PLAN, MARKED EXHIBIT "A", AND MADE A PART HEREOF AS IF COPIED VERBATIM HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • WHEREAS, by the adoption of Ordinance No. 10210, passed and approved by the City Council on March 31, 1971, a Special Permit was granted to T. M. Gonzalez for operation of a shop for the repair of business machines and small household appliances on Lot 51, Block 4, High Terrace Addition, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, as was more fully described on the approved site plan attached thereto and made a part of said Ordinance No. 10210; and WHEREAS, request has been made of the City Council to approve reduction of parking requirement from four spaces to one space on the aforesaid Lot 51, Block 4, High Terrace Addition; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 10210, passed and approved by the City Council on March 31, 1971, be and the same is hereby amended so as to provide for a revised site plan, reducing the parking requirement from four spaces to one space, and requiring that the remaining yard area be maintained in grass, all as more fully described on the attached site plan, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of such conflict. 12263 SECTION 3. The necessity to immediately make the aforesaid change as outlined creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the, &say of September, 1974. CjGA,LC,:. . , C E Rl 0 Corpus Christi, Texas ay of 19_41 TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
