AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT RIGHT -OF -WAY
DEED AND DEDICATION FOR AN OUTER MARKER SITE AT
CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, PROJECT 2145-
72-1, FROM THE OWNERS E. R. RUSSELL AND WIFE
LORRAINE RUSSELL; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE 245
AIRPORT BOND FUND $14,000 FOR ACQUISITION OF THE
AFORESAID PARCEL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO
ACCEPT RIGHT OF WAY DEED AND DEDICATION FOR AN OUTER MARKER SITE AT THE
CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, PROJECT No. 2145 -72 -11 FROM THE OWNERS,
E. R. RUSSELL AND WIFE, LORRAINE RUSSELL, SAID TRACT OR PARCEL BEING MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Being an irregular shaped tract of land out of the North , of Section 11,
Laureles Farm Tracts as shown by map of record in Volume 3, Page 15, Nueces
County, Texas, Map Records; and being out cf that certain tract of land in
the name of E. R. Russell as described in Volume 317, Page 15, Deed Records,
Nueces County, Texas, said tract of land being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at an axle set in the centerline of 40 foot wide County Road
No. 47 which marks the Southeast corner of the North 'i of said Section 11,
Laureles Farm Tracts:
Thence S. 890 50' 30" W. a distance of 20.0 feet to a point in the West
Right -of -Way line of said County Road No. 47 for the Southeast and beginning
corner of the herein described tract of land;
Thence continue S. 890 50' 30" W. a distance of 2338.40 feet along the South
line of the North z of said Section 11 to a 1" iron pipe set for the South-
west corner of this tract;
Thence N. 00 09' 15" W. a distance of 80.0 feet to a 1" iron pipe set for
the Northwest corner of this tract;
Thence N. 890 50' 30" a distance of 50.0 feet along a line that is 80.0
feet North of and parallel to the South line of the North k of said Section
11 to a 1" iron pipe;
Thence S. 00 09' 15" E. a distance of 50.0 feet to a 1" iron pipe set for
an interior corner of this tract;
Thence N. 890 50' 30" E. a distance of 2288.40 feet along a line that is
30.0 feet North of and parallel to the South line of the North 'k of said
Section 11 to a 1" iron pipe set in the West Right -of -Way line of said
County Road No. 47;
Thence S. 00 09' 15" E. a distance of 30.0 feet along the West Right -of -Way
line of said County Road No. 47 to the place of beginning and containing
720652 square feet or 1.668 acres.

SECTION 2. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE N0. 245
AIRPORT BOND FUND $4000 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO AUTHORIZE ACCEPTANCE OF THE AFORE-
SAID DEED AND DEDICATION AND TO APPROPRIATE THE SUMS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE
SAID PARCEL OR TRACT OF LAND FOR AN OUTER MARKER SITE AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC
NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE
OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION BUT
THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS,
OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND
NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE
AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
