HomeMy WebLinkAbout12377 ORD - 11/27/1974bJRR:vp:11/26/74:lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR A GRANT FOR STATE AND FEDERAL TRAFFIC SAFETY FUNDS THROUGH THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING A PHOTOLOGGING PROGRAM TO PHOTOGRAPH ALL STREETS IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A "; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AND RELATED CONTRACTS IF APPROVED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized • to apply for a grant for State and Federal Traffic Safety funds through the Governor's Office of Traffic Safety for the purpose of establishing a photo - logging program to photograph all streets in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A "; and authorizing execution of the grant and related contracts if approved. SECTION 2. STATEMENT OF WORK This project will be developed and carried out in the following manner: - (a) Necessary equipment and materials will be ordered. (b) Personnel will rec&Ave preliminary training by the City, of San Antonio, develop a street card index and establish a priority for photologging streets. (c) Install equipment and receive training on the equipment by the supplier. i (d) Streets will be photologged, inventoried and pertinent information will be extracted from photographs. Photolog negatives will be safely stored. Prints will be made available to all departments of the City having a use for them. (e) After all streets are photologged and between updating of streets the system will be made available to other cities on a fully reimbursable basis. (f) Equipment prices listed in budget ame the latest available. GOTS agrees to a CCN due to price increases or omission of equipment that the vendor failed to state was.needed.
