BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, • SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE N0. 218 TRANSIT BOND FUND $1910 FOR REPLACING DAMAGED FENCING AT THE MAIN TRANSIT YARD AND SOUTH PARKING LOT, AND INSTALLING NEW FENCING ALONG THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF THE SOUTH PARKING LOT TO PROTECT CITY VEHICLES AND EMPLOYEE AUTOMOBILES FROM VANDALISM, PROJECT No. 218 -72 -22 THE WORK TO BE DONE BY CONTRACT. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE NECESSARY SUMS IN ORDER TO INSTALL FENCING AS OUTLINED ABOVE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION BUT THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THBa IDAY of DECEMBER, 1974.
