HomeMy WebLinkAbout12419 ORD - 01/08/1975dor:oc:1/6/75 TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT TO THE TEXAS STATE LIBRARY FOR EXPANSION OF THE INFORMATION CENTER FOR THE AGING TO COVER SERVICES TO THE DISADVANTAGED, AND TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE LIBRARY SERVICES FOR ADULT BASIC EDUCATION CLASSES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAID GRANT IF SAME IS APPROVED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT TO THE TEXAS STATE LIBRARY FOR EXPANSION OF THE INFORMATION CENTER FOR THE AGING TO COVER SERVICES TO THE DISADVANTAGED, AND TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR ADULT BASIC EDUCATION CLASSES. THE CITY MANAGER IS ALSO HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAID GRANT IF SAME IS APPROVED. SECTION 2. Please note that this amendment does not change the total amount of your Contract #18, which remains $53,260. This letter should be signed and returned to the Texas State Library as soon as possible to indicate your concurrence.
