B. D. BERRYMAN IN CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS, IN CAUSE NO. 707, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI V. RUTH BERRYMAN, ET VIR, B. D. BERRYMAN; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED AND REAPPROPRIATED OUT OF THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND FOR PROJECT NO. 102 - 3327 -510, POLICE STATION EXPANSION PROJECT, THE SUM OF $1,525 FOR AWARD OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, COMMISSIONERS' FEES AND COURT COSTS IN CONNECTION WITH ACQUISITION OF PARCEL N0. 22 FROM MRS. B. D. BERRYMAN BEING A MATTER IN CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS, IN CAUSE N0. 7071 STYLED CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI V. RUTH BERRYMAN, ET VIR. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE AND REAPPROPRIATE THE SUMS HEREINABOVE SET FORTH IN ORDER THAT THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI MAY TAKE POSSESSION OF THE SAID PARCEL AND TO PROCEED WITH THE POLICE STATION EXPANSION PROJECT WITHOUT DELAY CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION BUT THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAV I NG'R EQU ESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE_g-_2_DAY OF JANUARY, 1975 ATTEST: CIJ T SECRETARY MAYOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXA APPROVED: d�y — DAY OF JANUARY, 1975 &44/� CITY AT TO 12439 s CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS • CERTIFICATION OF FUMB (City Charter Article IV Section 21) January 21, 1975 I certify to the City Council that $ 1025.00 , the amount required for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of: Fund No. and Name 102 General Fund Project No. Activity 3327, Code 501 Project Name Police Station Expansion from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose. /g<��8 s0 .FIN 2 -55 Revised 7/31/69 Corpus Christi, Texas O2o" day of Owl../ , 19 7s TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
