HomeMy WebLinkAbout12444 RES - 01/22/1975JRR:MLM:jkh; 1- 22 -75; 1st A RESOLUTION • WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi has determined that the hereinafter listed projects be included in the first, second and third year Urban Systems Program to be constructed jointly between the City and the State Highway Department; and WHEREAS, hereinafter listed projects are to be funded with local funds and funds provided by the Federal Highway Act of 1973: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi that the following priorities of projects are established for the first, second and third year Urban Systems Program, said projects to be constructed jointly by the City and the State Highway Department and funded with local funds as well as funds provided by the Federal Highway Act of 1973: FIRST Waldron Road - from Purdue to Caribbean YEAR McArdle Road - from Vance to Mt. Vernon Park Airline Road. - from Padre Island Drive to Williams Drive. SECOND Port Avenue - Agnes to Ayers YEAR Leopard Street Overlay - Broadway to Palm Drive North Staples Street - I.H. 37 to N. Broadway Starlite Lane - S.H. 9 to Sunny Drive. THIRD Kostoryz Road from Padre Island Drive to Holly Road YEAR Nueces Bay Blvd. - I.H. 37 to Broadway McKenzie Road - S.H. 9 to I.H. 37 Coopers Alley - Tancahua to Mesquite. SECTION 2. The necessity to reaffirm the City Council's decision to establish priorities for the first, second and third year's construction on bond projects under the Urban Systems Program between the City of Corpus Christi and the Texas Highway Department as hereinabove set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, 124441. and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this resolution be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO RESOLVED, this the rU day of January, 1975.
