AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A RIGHT OF
WAY DEED AND DEDICATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
LIGHT SYSTEM AND MIDDLE MARKER SITE FOR CORPUS
CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, PROJECT NO. 245 -72 -1,
FROM THE OWNERS P. W. KELLY, JR., ET AL; APPROPRIAT-
ING OUT OF THE NO. 245 AIRPORT BOND FUND $4,000 FOR
ACQUISITION OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to accept a right -of -way deed and dedication for the construction of a light
system and middle marker site for the Corpus Christi International Airport,
Project No. 245 -72 -1, from the owners, P. W. Kelly, Jr., at al, said parcel
or tract of land being described as follows, to -wit:
Being a 50 foot wide strip of land South of State
Highway F. M. 763 where center line coincides with
the projection of the center line of the North -
South runway of Corpus Christi International Airport
and out of Lot 6, Subdivision of the Margaret Kelly
Lands as recorded in Vol. 8, Page 40, Map Records of
Nueces County, Texas and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 6 of said
Margaret Kelly Lands; thence S 890 351 20" E a dis-
tance of 254.12 feet to a point; thence S 89° 34' 30"
E a distance of 1419.92 feet to the intersection of
the East right -of -way line of Texas Highway F. M.
763 being also in the center line of Bear Lane; thence
with the East right -of -way line of F. M. 763 and its
extension S 1° 421 E, past the P. C. of a circular
curve to the right at 377.39 feet in all a distance
of 832.84 feet to the P. I. of the curve, thence
S 450 00' W, at 455.45 feet pass the P. T. of the
curve, in all a distance of 1658.76 feet along the
Southeast right -of -way of said F. M. 763 to a point
and the beginning point of this tract;
Thence S 10 421E a distance of 1189.55 feet to a point;
Thence S 88° 181 W a distance of 50.0 feet to a point;
Thence N 10 42' W a distance of 1142.43 feet to a
point in the Southeast sight - of-way line of said F. M.
763;
Thence N 450 00' E with the Southeast right -of -way line
of F. M. 763 a distance of 68.70 feet to the point of
beginning.
Containing 1.327 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 245 Airport
Bond Fund $4,000 for acquisition of the aforesaid parcel, applicable to
Project No. 245 -72 -1.
SECTION 3. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove
set forth and to accept the aforesaid parcel or tract for the purposes set
forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requir-
ing the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance
or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and
having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance
be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be
in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED, this the day of February, 1975.

for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the
above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi

from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
