HomeMy WebLinkAbout12478 ORD - 02/12/1975MM: jkh:hb:2 /11 /75:Ist AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1974 -75 BUDGET By INCREASING ESTIMATED GAS FUND REVENUE BY $662,840 AND INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE GAS FUND By $662,840; REDUCING THE OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SERVICE CHARGE TO CORPUS CHRISTI MUNICIPAL GAS COR- PORATION FROM $3.35 PER METER TO $2.80 PER METER, AND ADJUSTING THE GENERAL REVENUE FUND TO REFLECT THE ADJUSTMENT TO THE GAS FUND BUDGET, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 12220, adopting the 1974 -75 Budget, be and the same is hereby amended by increasing estimated Gas Revenue Fund No. 106, by $662,840 and increasing appropriations for the Gas Fund by said amount, as set forth herein, reading as follows: REVENUE INCREASE DECREASE 2511 Residential $437,368 2512 Commercial 223,825 2513 Hospitals 26,892 2531 City Use 7,117 2514 Industrial 95,699 2543 Service Connections 120 2576 Property Rentals 2,160 2583 Municipal Gas Maintenance and Operation Service 2590 Other Revenues 1•,200 $794.380 $131,540 APPROPRIATIONS INCREASE DECREASE 5211 Gas Purchases $557,400 5259 In Lieu of Franchise Tax 32,640 5259 In Lieu of Property Tax 3,300 (1) 3,300 a reduction of $92$40 for Area 3 and $39,000 for Areas 1 and 2, CCMGC. 5271 Construction 5,000 5299 Reserve 65,500 662 840 SECTION 2. That the ordinance adopting the 1974 -75 Budget be and the same is hereby amended by reducing the Operations and Maintenance Service Charge to Corpus Christi municipal Gas Corporation from $3.35 per meter to $2.80 per meter, and adjusting the General Revenue Fund No. 102 as follows: ESTIMATED REVENGES INCREASE DECREASE 2026 CCMGC In Lieu of Franchise Tax $31,640 2027 CCMGC In Lieu of Property Tax 3,300 2421 Gas Fund In Lieu of Franchise Tax $31,640 2422 Gas Fund In Lieu of Property Tax 3,300 12&940 124,940 SECTION 3. Amending the City Budget to accomplish the purposes of this ordinance is necessitated for emergency expenditure in grave public necessity to meet unusual and unforseen conditions, which could not, by reasonable diligent thought and attention of the Government of the City of Corpus Christi, have been included in the current, original Budget of the City. SECTION 4. The necessity to amend the 1974 -75 Budget as herein - above set forth in order to more accurately reflect estimated revenues creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the of February, 1975.
