HARVEY WEIL BY AMENDING THE ZONING MAP BY CHANGING THE ZONING ON TRACT 1 AND TRACT 2, BOTH TRACTS BEING OUT OF SHARES 2 THROUGH 6 OF McBRIDE PARTITION, SITUATED IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM "F -R" FARM RURAL DISTRICT TO "'r-2" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL nTCmRT KEEPING IN EFFECT ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE EXISTING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of M_ Harvey Weil for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, Feyy, a i, 1A ia75 , at Snecial Council Meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE t CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed on the 27th day of August, 1937, appearing of record in Volume 9, Pages 565, et seq, of the Ordinance and Resolution Records, as amended from time to time, and in particular as amended by Ordinance No. 6106, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by making the change hereinafter set out. am SECTION 2. That the zoning of the following described tracts or parcels be and the same is hereby changed from "FR" Farm -Rural District to "I -2" Light Industrial District: TRarT i Being a parcel or tract of land out of Shares 4, 5 and 6, of the McBride Partition, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest conner of Lot 10 Block 8, Lantana Industrial area, a plat of which is filed at volume 34, page 74, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. Thence with the property line between said Lot 10, Block 8, and the Weil brothers lands N. 89 '- 59' -10 "Ea distance of approximately 1700' to the existing division line between F -R zone and 1 -2 zone as shown on page 68 -12 of the Corpus Christi zoning map. Thence with said division line S 40 '-41' E approximately 345' to a point. Thence continuing with said division line S 89 °- 59' -]0" W parallel to and approximately 400' northerly from the north right -of -way line of Hopkins Road approximately 1925' to a point in the westerly property line of the Weil brothers land. Thence N 00 °- 00' -50" W a distance of approximately 262' to the place of beginning, this tract containing 10.9 acres of land, more or less. TRACT 2 Being a parcel or tract of land out of Shares 2 and 3, of the McBride Partition, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest conner of Lot 10, Block 8, Lantana Industrial area, of plat of which is filed at volume 34, page 74, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. Thence, with the property line between said Lot 10, Block 8 and the M. Harvey Weil lands north (called N 00 °- 00' -50 "W on the referenced plat) approximately *] 000' to the existing. division line between F -P zone and S -P zone as shown on page 68 -12 of the Corpus Christi zoning map, and the northeasterly conner of the M. Harvey Weil tract. Thence with said division line and the northerly line of the M. Harvey Weil tract S. 89 "- 58' -15" W a distance of approximately 1253' to a point in the westerly line of the M. Harvey Weil tract. Thence with said westerly line and the existing division line between F -P, zone and 1 -2 zone as shown on page 68 -11 of the Corpus Christi zoning map, S. 0 °- 01' -45 "E a distance of approximately 1262' to a point. Thence continuing with said division line N. 89 °- 18' -50 "E parallel to and approximately 400' northerly from the north right -of -way line of Hopkins Road, approximately 1253' to a point in the easterly property line of the M. Harvey Weil tract. Thence with the easterly line of said tract north a distance of approximately 262' to the place of beginning, this tract contains 36.5 acres of land, more or less. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That the necessity of immediately making aforesaid change for the purpose of maintaining at all times a comprehensive zoning ordinance for the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passa /J IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of ATTEST: t�� J' y r'Y MAYO CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS APPRD: AY ly DAY 0 F,LUU-4 17-A— '{ City Attorney Corpus Christi, Texas _day TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Corpus Christi, Texas For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
