HomeMy WebLinkAbout12541 ORD - 03/19/1975MLM:e:vp:3- 17- 75:lst TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12453, PASSED AND APPROVED ON JANUARY 29, 1975, WHICH ORDINANCE AUTHORIZED THE SUB- MISSION OF AN APPLICATION WITH REGARD TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, SO AS TO INCREASE THE APPLICATION FROM $1,637,000 TO $1,703,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 12453, passed and approved by the City Council on the 29th day of January, 1975, which Ordinance authorized the submission of an application under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 in the amount of $1,637,000, be amended so as to increase the amount in that application from $1,637,000 to $1,703,000, keeping in effect all other provisions of said Ordinance No. 12453. SECTION 2. That the necessity to authorize the change set out hereinabove at the earliest possible time creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in Hill force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of March, 1975.
