HomeMy WebLinkAbout12575 ORD - 04/02/1975MLM:VMR:3- 31- 75;1ST r AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND $69,2914 FOR WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM MAINS AND LATERALS, OF WHICH $66,7914 IS APPLICABLE TO PRO- JECT NO. 250- 72 -13, HORNE ROAD SANITARY SEWER REPLACE- MENT -PORT AVENUE TO AYERS STREET; AND $2,500 IS APPLI- CABLE TO PROJECT NO. 250 -72 -114, AUDITORIUM SANITARY SEWER LATERAL RELOCATION; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT OF THE 109 WASTEWATER SERVICES FUND FOR ALL AMOUNTS AD- VANCED AND TO BE ADVANCED FOR LABOR AND MATERIAL FOR THE AFORESAID PROJECTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS 1H,EREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE No. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND $69,294 FOR WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM MAINS AND LATERALS, OF WHICH $66,794 IS APPLICABLE TO PROJECT No. 250- 72 -13, HORNE ROAD SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT —PORT AVENUE TO AYERS STREET; AND $2,500 IS APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 250 -72 -114, AUDITORIUM SANITARY SEWER LATERAL RE- LOCATION, THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY CITY FORCES. SECTION 2. THAT REIMBURSEMENT OF THE NO. 109 WASTEWATER SERVICES FUND FOR SUMS ADVANCED AND TO BE ADVANCED FOR LABOR AND MATERIAL FOR THE AFORESAID PROJECTS BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO REIMBURSE THE NO. 109 SEWER FUND IN THE AMOUNT HEREINABOVE SET FORTH CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER'RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION BUT THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFF,E/,LCTT� FROM AND AFTER ,ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDING SO ORDAINED, THIS THE DAY OF MARCH, 1975- ATTEST:''// .
