AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12517, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL ON MARCH 5, 1975, SO AS TO AMEND SECTION 2
THEREOF; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING A TOTAL OF
$198,350, OF WHICH $20,984 IS OUT OF THE NO. 121 GENERAL
REVENUE SHARING FUND TO SUPPLEMENT $177,366 OUT OF THE
NO. 124 GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND; KEEPING IN EFFECT
ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 12517; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 12517, passed and approved by the
City Council on March 5, 1975, be and the same is hereby amended so as
to amend Section 2 thereof, to hereafter read as follows:
"SECTION 2. There is hereby cancelled the sum of $20,984 of the
total appropriation of $150,000 for the Clarkwood Drainage Ditch Utility
Relocation in the No.-121 General Revenue Sharing Fund, and there is hereby
appropriated and reappropriated a total of $198,350, of which $20,984 is
out of the No. 121 General Revenue Sharing Fund to supplement $177,366 out
of the No. 124 General Revenue Sharing Fund, said sums being for the
purchase of property for the Naval Air Station Safety Zones - Land Acquisition
Project, Activity 121 -4291, Code 501."
SECTION 2. Except as herein and hereby amended, all the terms
and conditions of Ordinance No. 12517 shall be and remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 3. The necessity to provide the sums necessary for the
purchase of parcels of property for the Naval Air Station Safety Zones - Land
Acquisition Project as aforesaid creates a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi-
nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction
but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several
meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency
and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter
rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ,.I

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
