SHAW, BUILDER, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS COMMUNITY CENTERS AND LINDALE PARK IMPROVEMENTS, SAID CHANGE ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR IMPROVEMENT OF LIGHTING FACILI- TIES FOR THE SOFTBALL FIELD LOCATED IN LINDALE PARK, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE CHANGE ORDER, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO, MARKED EXHIBIT "A" AND MADE A PART HEREOF; APPROPRIATING $2,176 OUT OF THE NO. I]1 TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT NO. 1757, FOR SAID ADDITIONAL WORK; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $2,176 to the contract with William J. Shaw, Builder, for construction of the Senior Citizens Community .Centers and Lindale Park Improvements, said change order to provide for improvement of lighting facilities for the softball field located in Lindale Park, All as more fully set forth in the change order, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. III Trust Fund, Account No. 1757 the sum of $2,176 for the additional work necessitated and as set forth in Change Order No. 3. SECTION 3. .Amendment of the City Budget to accomplish the purposes of this ordinance is necessitated for emergency expenditure in grave public necessity to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions, which could not, by reasonable diligent thought and attention of the Government of the City of Corpus Christi, have been included in the current, original Budget of the City. SECTION 4. The necessity to authorize execution of the aforesaid change order and to appropriate the necessary sums in order that the project may be continued to its completion without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date ..12587 of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect ��from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the may of April, 1975• APPROVED: DAY OF , 1g75: /a 0TIN P City Attorne C 2,- J MAYOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS CERTIFICATION OF FUNDS (City Charter Article IV Section 21) March 31. 1975 I certify to the City Council that $ 2,176 , the amount required for the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the above and foregoing ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of Corpus Christi to the credit of: Fund No. and Name it Trust Fund Project No. Account No. 1757 Project Name Lindale Park from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not appropriated for any other purpose. These funds are to be appropriated for the construction of additional lighting facilities for the softball field located in Lindale Park. The work will be performed as a change order to the contract with William J. Shaw, Builder, in connection with the construction of the Senior Citizens Center and other improvements in Lindale Park.
