AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 12, COLISEUM AND EXPOSITION HALL,
OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1958, AS AMENDED,
BY AMENDING SECTION 12 -32 OF SAID CODE TO APPLY THE
CLASS V, ATHLETIC EVENT RATE TO A SERIES OF SEVEN
ATHLETIC EVENTS OF WHICH NOT MORE THAN T140 MAY BE
CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION EVENTS; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That Chapter 12 of the Corpus Christi City Code,
1958, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Paragraph
E of Section 12 -32 to hereafter read as follows:
"E. Class V, Athletic Events: This rate will apply to any
athletic event when the lessee contracts for seven or more specific dates
during a twelve month period,provided that not more than two of said seven
athletic events may be closed circuit television performances.from this
date forward, and pays the basic rental for the first and last dates of
said lease in advance upon execution of the contract, and pays the basic
rental for each event beginning with the second event of the lease period."
Section 2. That the necessity of immediately making the foregoing
clarifications for the purpose of accurate billing for the use of the Coliseum
and Exposition Hall facilities creates a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordi-
nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction
but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings
of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and
necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter
rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the li day of June, 1975.

ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT 13 INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; 1, THEREFORE,
REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY CGU NCIL.
