AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY THE CITY'S
INTEREST IN LOT 3, BLOCK 2, WIESS ADDITION, TO
MANUEL S. GARCIA FOR A CASH PAYMENT OF $718; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to convey the
City's interest in the following described parcel or tract of land, situated
in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, to Manuel S. Garcia upon the pay-
ment of the cash consideration of $718:
Lot 3, Block 2, Wiess Addition to the City of
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas being
situated at 814 18th Street,
subject to the two -year redemption period and the removal of the substandard
conditions on the lot.
SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately authorize the execution
of the aforesaid deed in order to facilitate the sale of the above described
parcel of land creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City
Council and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity
exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect
and be in full force and effect from ar_d after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

That we, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, of the County of Nueces,
State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred
Eighteen and No /100 Dollars ($718.00), cash to us in hand paid by Manuel
S. Garcia as follows:
All cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged,
have GRANTED, SOLD AND CONVEYED, and by these presents do GRANT, SELL AND
CONVEY, unto, the said Manuel S. Garcia, of the County of Nueces, State
of Texas, all that certain land situated in Nueces County, Texas, described
as follows:
Lot 3, Block 2, Wiess Addition to the City of
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas being
situated at 814 18th Street.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together
with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise
belonging unto the said Manuel S. Garcia, his heirs and assigns forever,
subject to the two -year redemption period and the removal of the sub-
standard conditions on the lot, and we do hereby bind ourselves and our
heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all and
singular the said premises unto the said Manuel S. Garcia, his heirs and
assigns against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming by, through or
under grantor.
